Since then the group has grown to become the leading international health club operator, with clubs across four continents in ten countries (South Africa, UK, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Australia, Namibia, Botswana, Thailand and Singapore), serving over 1.2 million adult members.

Virgin Active’s purpose is to make exercise irresistible. Its clubs are designed to meet the needs of its diverse markets and members. There are three unique formats: high-end Collection clubs, all-encompassing Life Centres and in South Africa, the fitness-only Virgin Active RED.
